Romelu Lukaku could reportedly be on the way out, whilst midfielder Ross Barkley has also been touted with a summer exit.

Indeed, it is the latter that is providing all the chatter in the Transfer Tavern today, with the Mirror reporting that Arsenal have joined the race for his signature – on the ONE condition that the Toffees make him available for a sale.

Indeed, that prospect could be a likely one – with Koeman reportedly keen to sell if Barkley does not agree to a new deal.

For the Toffees in the Transfer Tavern, there is certainly a fear that an exodus could be about to take place at Goodison Park this summer. Barkley, in particular, would be a disappointing player to lose – given that, for many in the pub, he is a future captain of the club.

Of course, Barkley – who reportedly earns £48,000 per week –  came through the youth system at Everton, and after a poor start to the season, his form has really picked up as the campaign has progressed.

Our landlord is expecting it to be all change at Everton this summer. Not only could the club see a few departures, but he thinks that Ronald Koeman will be expected to challenge for Europe next season, and so a few new faces are likely.

Indeed, the same can be said of Arsenal – with Arsene Wenger’s future looking increasingly uncertain.
