Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are caught in a tough situation as the Daily Mirror explained how Carl Jenkinson could be allowed to join West Ham permanently due to the rise of Hector Bellerin.
Arsenal’s new kid from the academy, Bellerin, has been impressive after he stepped in earlier on in the season for the injured Mathieu Debuchy.
The 19-year-old has shown great composure and has somehow appeared to have cool head in Arsenal’s rocky defence.
His impressive adaption to first team football has been rewarded with a deal which will keep him at the club until 2019.
This is bad news for Jenkinson, because before he was loaned out to West Ham, many thought he would be Arsenal’s long term right back.
But now since he has been away, there is a new kid on the block, meaning there is no room for the England Under 21 international and it is believed Arsenal will set an asking price of £6m for West Ham to take him off their hands.
