The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern would love to see him at the Emirates…
Arsene Wenger has often shown a preference for signing young players with huge potential, and whilst his tenure at the helm of the Gunners looks like it could end following the conclusion of the 2016/17 season – it would appear that he is still looking towards the future.
According to Calcio Mercato, Arsenal have joined the race for in-demand forward Alexander Isak, who is seemingly attracting the interest of most of Europe’s biggest sides.
Calcio Mercato notes that both Juventus and Bayern Munich as interested in the forward, whilst Swedish outlet Expressen suggested last month that the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea have also been keeping tabs on him.
Currently just 17-years-old, Alexander Isak has been in stellar form in his native Sweden so far this season – and has picked up 10 goals in just 19 league starts.
The deal makes particular sense for Arsenal, given their striking issues as of late. Olivier Giroud has been forced to lead the line on his own for a few years, whilst Alexis Sanchez has seemingly taken his place this year. The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern think that Sanchez and Giroud both have uncertain futures at the Emirates – so they like the fact that Wenger is already planning for the future.
