Arsenal & Everton chase England star on free transfer

Fabien DelphArsenal and Everton fans are set to lock horns in the Football Transfer Tavern as England’s most recent debutant is still yet to sign a new deal.

According to The Mirror, Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph could potentially leave on a free transfer at the end of the season after failing to sign a new deal that the Villians have recently offered him.

This has sparked a lot of discussion in the tavern with Arsenal and Everton fans desperate for their clubs to capitalise on his situation.

A move to one of the clubs that is challenging and playing in Europe would be a great move for the 24-year-old former Leeds United star’s development.

And it is well known that both clubs have a high number of midfielders but both managers have players such as Leon Osman and Mathieu Flamini, who are in the latter stages of their career, and they will be looking to replace them.

Delph would provide great pace and direct runs from midfield although he can be a liability in defensive situations.

Arsenal and Everton fans. Do you think Delph is capable of making the step up to your football club? Let us know your thoughts below.
