Arsenal eye £30m move for talented World Cup winner

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern would love to see him at the Emirates…

The contract saga between Arsenal and Ozil and Sanchez has been discussed in depth in recent weeks, with neither of Arsenal’s star attackers looking set to sign a new contract anytime soon.

Both Ozil and Sanchez have contracts that are set to expire within 18 months, and with no deal close to being agreed – it would appear as though Arsenal are already looking towards potential alternatives.

According to the Express, Arsenal are ready to move for Wolfsburg winger Julian Draxler – after the German winger requested a transfer following his exclusion from the matchday squad for Wolfsburg’s game with Bayern Munich.

The Express are reporting that Arsenal are lining up a £30m move for the World Cup winner, with Draxler looking set to leave the club in January.

Draxler has been touted with a big European move for years, with the punters in the Transfer Tavern highly complimentary of the German winger. A quick dribbler with vast technical ability, Draxler has impressed in the Bundesliga over the last few years – and his fine form is what led to his signing for Wolfsburg in 2015.

He has risen to prominence in recent years for his role with the German national team, too, and despite being just 23-years-old, Draxler has already picked up a coveted World Cup winners medal for his efforts en route to Germany’s World Cup win in 2014.

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern would love to see the German come to the Emirates, regardless of whether Ozil or Sanchez stay.
