Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen their season curtail as of late, with a fight for the Premier League title turning into a battle for the top-four, and they’re hoping for vast changes this summer.
Fortunately for them it seems Arsene Wenger has similar ideas in the transfer market, as Spanish outlet Don Balon state the Gunners are targeting Getafe duo Pablo Sarabia and Alvaro Vazquez.
The duo, 23 and 24 respectively, would command fairly low transfer fees and would likely jump at the chance to leave the struggling Spanish side, with Getafe rooted to the bottom of the table with five games to go and facing a stern test to avoid relegation.
Sarabia, an attacking midfielder, would add required depth to the midfield whilst Vazquez, a striker, may not appease fans as the forward struggling in the Premier League previously during a loan spell with Swansea City.
It’s unlikely though that either of the pair would be deemed as regular starters in Arsenal’s set-up and it’s more likely they’ll be used to add depth, meaning more high-profile signings could also arrive.
