Arsenal eyeing shock move to land Championship striker

arsenallllArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have put the drinks aside as they fear they’ve had a bit too much, as our punters are completely confused by some reports they’ve seen today.

TuttoMercatoWeb states Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen on the signature of Hull City striker Abel Hernandez, who has starred for the Tigers this season having netted 15 goals in 23 appearances.

The Gunners are looking to improve their striking options for the finale of their Premier League title push, as any issue for Olivier Giroud would hand Arsenal a massive problem with only Theo Walcott as genuine back up, as Danny Welbeck has not featured since April.

A new striker would ease the pressure of that issue but a move for Uruguayan international Abel Hernandez would be extremely surprising, as the South American was an awful performer for the Tigers last term as they were relegated from the Premier League.

Our landlord doesn’t believe the 25-year-old will move to the Emirates Stadium and he isn’t convinced Arsenal will complete any further business.

Arsenal fans, surely not!? Would this striker be worse than Bendtner? Let us know in the comments below!
