Arsenal eyeing cut-price deal for leading European defender

Serge AurierArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are debating whether or not the reports they read this afternoon whilst they stumbled into the bar are a good idea, with our fanbase being split down the middle with their beliefs.

Fichajes state Arsenal are eying the signature of Paris Saint-Germain’s Serge Aurier, with the Gunners reviving interest in the Ivorian full-back after unsavoury scenes have led to a likely exit from the French capital.

Aurora appears to have burned his bridges with the French champions by going live on social media to slate numerous team-mates, including superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and even going as far as criticising his manager Laurent Blanc.

As such, PSG are ready to sell and Arsenal are keen on his services, with the player set to be available for a cut-price fee of just £11.8m.

Aurier clearly has work to do to improve his behaviour but the 23-year-old undoubtedly possesses a wealth of talent and Arsenal will be in the market for a full-back this summer, when Mathieu Debuchy is likely to make his exit from the Gunners permanent.

Our landlord isn’t sure though as he was disgusted by Aurier’s comments, which is the same for many fans in the bar who don’t want the Ivorian anywhere near their club.

Arsenal fans, is this a move you should be considering? Let us know in the comments below!
