There are shocked faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by Metro that Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski could well be set for a bumper offer from one of Turkey’s biggest clubs.
It is thought that the Gunners forward is top of Galatararay’s wanted list this summer and the Istanbul-based club are willing to strike big both in terms of wages and also the transfer fee to Arsenal in order to land the German. A bumper deal of around £130,000 per week will be presented to the forward not to mention the £12 million offer to Arsene Wenger.
Whilst the North London club are not thought to be actively looking to offload the forward, that money could well be utilised when rebuilding their squad this summer and should a mega money deal for Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic come off, how happy Podolski would be dropping down the pecking order remains to be seen.
Wenger of course is looking at improving all areas of his squad this summer and has faced speculation over his own future, and has found himself linked to both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Whatever happens, its set to be an exciting summer for Gunners fans.
Will Podolski be attracted by Galatasaray’s proposition? Rate this rumour below.
