Arsenal manager still has a lot of work to do if he’s to keep improving his squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
We’ve seen the likes of Manchester City really splash the cash over the past few weeks and whilst Arsenal have completed the impressive signing of former Ligue 1 hotshot Alexandre Lacazette, you get the feeling they’ll need that little bit more to see them over the line this time around.
Their fans here in the Tavern certainly seem to agree too, especially seeing the quality we’ve seen added by other teams over the summer transfer window.
And one man the Gunners have been linked with intensely over the whole window is Monaco winger Lemar. But with the Gunners’ bids being repeatedly rejected by the French club, the Mirror are now reporting Barcelona have joined the race for his signature.
Of course, the Catalonian giants will be looking for a player to replace Neymar, who completed a staggering world record move to PSG earlier this week.
But for the Gunners, it now means that they’ve got Barcelona, Manchester City and Liverpool as competition in the race for his signature, meaning this could be a four-way battle to bring in the Monaco man.
Arsenal need a little bit more quality added to their ranks and Lemar, who impressed on so many occasions last season, would mark another top signing from Ligue 1.
This is the perfect opportunity for the Gunners to show some steel in the transfer window and for Arsene Wenger to prove to the Arsenal faithful that he’s ready to compete with the other team’s in the division.
Arsenal fans- do you want to bring Lemar in? Leave your thoughts down below!
