Arsenal facing transfer battle as club look to potential summer signing – Report

Arsenal fans here in the Tavern are hoping to bring in some much-needed additions in the summer, as they’re set to miss out on Champions League football for the second consecutive season.

The Gunners have looked less than convincing under the guidance of Arsene Wenger so far this season, as poor performances have caused for hostile crowds to flood into the Emirates. Although, it appears as if the North London club are taking a step in the right direction, with recruitment for the future well underway, as according to reports in the Mail Online, Arsenal are eyeing Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Yacine Adli.

Encouragingly, it’s believed that the 17-year-old is yet to sign professional terms with the French club, which provides the Gunners with the opportunity to bring the youngster to the Emirates. And, they’d be receiving one of the most exciting prospects currently plying their trade in France, who could follow former Ligue 1 star Alexandre Lacazette to North London.

But, they do face stiff competition in bringing the starlet to the English capital, as Manchester City are taking a look at the Frenchman, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich also aware of his talents. Although, the most enticing part about a deal for the youngster is that he could even be snapped up for compensation of just £250,000 this summer, due to the lack of a professional contract.

Landlord’s Verdict:

The Gunners should look to do everything they possibly can to secure the services of the attacking midfielder, as they could reap huge rewards in the future for paying the small compensation price. But, the stiff competition from some of the world’s best could be too overpowering, as failing to secure Champions League football could prove costly for the North London club.
