We’ve all been there before.
Getting a bit over-excited about a new signing that you perhaps send a text to a friend saying the deal is done before the medical is complete, only to end up embarrassed later when you find out the deal is off because of a dodgy knee.
Or maybe even putting that player in your FIFA squad and having to take him out hours afterwards when Chelsea, Manchester City or another of the teams with endless money have come in and made a better offer at the eleventh hour.
But ordering a shirt before a signing has even been completed is just a step too far – especially an Arsenal shirt, given their habit of over-pricing their fans for just about everything!
That is exactly what this deranged Gooner did in preparation for the arrival of Radamel Falcao – now of Manchester United.
Imagine his thoughts yesterday morning when it was announced the Colombian international had agreed on a loan move to Old Trafford, having not only ordered his ‘Falcao 9’ shirt – but informed all his Twitter followers in the process.
I wonder if it’s too late to exchange it for a Danny Welbeck #23 shirt?
