Arsenal fans are getting flashbacks to past horrors in the Transfer Taver, a situation that mimics Batman’s flashbacks to when his parents were killed, as a star member of their squad is being eyed by a rival club.
El Confidencial state new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is eyeing a move for Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin, who has caught the eye in the past two seasons due to his meteoric rise into the Gunners first-team.
The young Spaniard took his opportunity last season with both hands, when Mathieu Debuchy was out injured, and Bellerin’s performances have led the French international to be ousted from the squad, as the former Newcastle United man joined Bordeaux on-loan in January.
With City set for a major reshuffle under Guardiola’s guidance this summer, and upgrades needed on the full-back choices of Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna in the Citizens squad, Bellerin has emerged as a prime target.
Guardiola shares a Catalan connection with Bellerin, who was snatched from Barcelona’s prestigious La Masia academy, but the excelling defender has a strong connection with Arsenal.
Is there any chance of Bellerin leaving this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
