The 31-year-old French international is out of contract with the Gunners at the end of the season and he has rejected any offers put to him by the Arsenal board.
In recent weeks it has been reported in the tavern that Manchester City have tabled a three-year contract for the former Auxerre man while Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco have also been linked with his services.
And that has seen Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is having to think about finding a replacement.
Mark Irvin from The Sun is on hand to tell punters that Wenger is looking at Toulouse right back Serge Aurier who is a self-confessed fan of the Gunners, having been pictured in the club’s jersey before.
The 21-year-old Ivory Coast international has made no secret of his desire to leave his current Ligue 1 club at the end of the campaign with PSG also thought to be tracking his availability
He said: “You cannot turn down Arsenal. PSG and Monaco are building – but it is the English league that makes me dream.
“It is a bit crazy, where smaller clubs can beat the big ones.
“Everyone wants to play there because of the amazing atmosphere inside stadiums. Discovering this kind of league interests me in terms of sensations and emotions.”
Irvin suggests to punters that Wenger is prepared to pay up to £7 million to land Aurier ahead of any French rivals.
Do you think that Arsenal fan Aurier will realise his dream by moving to the Emirates Stadium this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
