Arsenal fans could be about to get what they’ve been waiting for as report hints at major change

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been hoping for some big changes at the Emirates for years, and could the biggest of these actually be on the way?

If Matt Scott of TalkSport is to be believed, it very well could. According to Scott, there is a growing sense that Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke could consider a recent buyout offer from Alisher Usmanov – with several key figures reportedly pressuring him into selling. It is noted that the Arsenal fans recent chants against their current ownership have played an impact in proceedings.

This is, of course, on the back of recent reports suggesting that billionaire Alisher Usmanov had made an offer to take a controlling stake in the club Рleaving the Arsenal fans in the pub on cloud-9.

There has been a growing sense of anger amongst the Arsenal fans in the pub regarding the current ownership at Arsenal, with many concerned that the Gunners are not spending enough to compete at the highest level. Trophies have been few and far between in recent years, whilst Arsenal’s failure to finish in the top four this season is their biggest blow yet.

Usmanov would likely come in and change that, given his vast wealth, with many in the Transfer Tavern touting him to have an Abramovich like effect at the Emirates.

Whatever happens, our landlord is expecting the Emirates to be a bustling hive of activity this summer.
