Arsenal fans are excited over reports concerning summer transfer target Dayot Upamecano.
According to reports in Kicker (via Twitter), the France youth international has no intention over renewing his contract at Red Bull Leipzig.
The north London giants were chasing the player in the summer and were reported by Bild to have bid €60m (£51.8m) for Upamecano.
It was also reported by Football Leaks (via Metro) that the 20-year-old had a €100m (£86.3m) in his contract last year and that it goes down by €20m (roughly £17.2m) every year. This means the player is theoretically available next summer for €60m.
After their failed pursuit of Upamecano, Arsenal seemingly turned their attention to David Luiz, who they signed for just £8m from Premier League rivals Chelsea (via BBC).
