Arsenal: Fans fuming after Kieran Tierney substitution against Wolves

It was yet another disappointing day for Arsenal on Saturday, as the Gunners could only draw 1-1 against Wolves at the Emirates (via BBC Sport).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had put the hosts ahead but a goal from Raul Jimenez ensured that the points were shared between the two clubs.

The result means that Arsenal have now managed to win just one of their last five matches in all competitions, and after the recent Granit Xhaka saga the feeling around the club is pretty low.

Fans are quickly losing faith in manager Unai Emery, and many of them were left scratching their heads when the Spaniard decided to substitute Kieran Tierney against Wolves to bring on Sead Kolasinac as they went in search of a winner (@Arsenal).

The Scot had been one of Arsenal’s better performers on the day, making three clearances, two tackles and one interception as well as winning two aerial duels and completing one successful dribble (WhoScored).

Added to that, the Gunners still had winger Nicolas Pepe sat on the bench, and many fans couldn’t understand why Emery would swap left-backs instead of bringing on the former Lille man when trying to find a winning goal.

Here is how some fans reacted to the Tierney substitution on Twitter…

Arsenal fans, did Unai Emery make the wrong call in bringing on Sead Kolasinac instead of Nicolas Pepe against Wolves? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
