Arsenal fans everywhere were shocked over the weekend when they read what Garth Crooks had been saying about Unai Emery. The BBC Sports pundit who is famous for his wacky team of the week formations and strange comments claimed that Arsenal look happier under Emery and that the Spaniard will soon get them challenging for titles.
BBC pundit Garth Crooks on Unai Emery:
“I must say Arsenal look a much happier bunch under Emery. They are not a title-winning side yet but I think this manager will get Arsenal challenging for honours in the not-too-distant future. This man knows what he’s doing.”

The fans have quite liked seeing Crooks heap praise on their manager and it comes as a nice surprise considering the former Tottenham striker doesn’t normally get these kinds of things right in the eyes of The Gunners. However, it is true that Emery has made a lot of changes to the club and as the club won their seventh straight game when they beat Watford on Saturday it looks very much like the Arsenal of old could be on their way back.
Again, Crooks is right as he claimed that Emery won’t get them challenging for the Premier League just yet but if you give the Spaniard time then there’s no doubting that he can be the man to take Arsenal back to the heights that they were at in the early days under Arsene Wenger. A rocky start to his tenure saw losses against Manchester City and Chelsea but now that he’s steadied the ship it seems good things are on the horizon at The Emirates.

Well spoken now we focus on winning our games that’s all. God bless Unai

FACT from, surprisingly, Crooks.
We are obviously not a team that can win the league atm.
But with support from the board and more trust from our fans, Emery could be mounting a huge challenge soon.
Very optimistic about the next few years.

The fans have, surprisingly, agreed with Crooks and will hope that the ex-Tottenham man is right in his predictions of the club.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
