Arsenal fans laud Jenkinson after his friendly strike

Arsenal fans are really struggling with the ongoing international break. The lack of news for them is tough to deal with, and their club has finally come to the rescue by playing a friendly fixture whilst out on their tour of Dubai. Unai Emery oversaw a 3-2 win over Al-Nasr, and after Carl Jenkinson scored Twitter erupted.

This time last year a lot of Arsenal fans would have laughed and told you that Jenkinson had already been sold if you asked them about his chances of getting a game. However, the forgotten man at The Emirates has been uncovered and put into action by Emery at times this season, and after he scored yesterday against Al-Nasr the Gunners were on hand to laud the fringe man.
At right-back this season the Gunners have got Hector Bellerin, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Jenkinson. However, with Bellerin injured, Lichtsteiner ancient and proving to be more wages than he’s worth it’s left a void at the back. Emery has used Shkodran Mustafi to fill it in the Premier League, but with the German looking more and more like a donkey every week, he may be forced to throw Jenkinson into the fold sooner or later.

The Gunners all seem delighted with Jenkinson and will be hoping he can get a few more minutes in the Premier League over the next few weeks.
