Arsenal fans are far from pleased with the referee appointment for their fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
The Premier League’s Twitter account announced that Martin Atkinson will be the man in the middle for Sunday’s fixture between the North London giants.
Atkinson has featured in all three rounds of fixtures in the English top-flight so far, handing out eight yellow cards as well as one penalty in Bournemouth’s 2-1 win away at Aston Villa (via Transfermarkt).
The Yorkshire native has a mixed record when taking charge of Arsenal in the Premier League. The Gunners have won 19 but lost 14 of their 41 games Atkinson has refereed (via worldfootball.net)
Arsenal and Spurs are both coming off the back of losses in the Premier League having lost to Liverpool and Newcastle United respectively.
The Gooners were far from pleased with the appointment and took to Twitter to voice their disapproval.
