Arsenal fans on Twitter are begging their club not to sign Niang

The Emirates has been a place filled with positivity this summer. The Gunners have signed five players so far and we still have just under three weeks of the transfer window left. However, some fans would like to see the window close now as they’ve been linked with a move for Torino and Senegal forward, M’Baye Niang, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The only thing that Arsenal fans want to see happen in this window now is some departures to free up wages and transfer funds and a move for a top quality winger. So far they’ve been linked to Hirving Lozano of PSV and Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman. Given the quality of Lozano and Coman, it would be a huge kick in the teeth if Unai Emery went on to sign Niang from Torino.
It’s true that the 23-year-old had a good World Cup and given his age and versatility he could go on to a serious player for The Gunners. In many Arsenal fans’ eyes though, it’s just not the flashy move that they want to see made. The fans had a chance to see Niang up close when he signed for Watford on a six-month loan back in January 2016 and it’s fair to say he didn’t set the world alight his performances, giving the fans even more reason to turn their noses up at the Senegalese striker.
You can see what the fans make of the Niang links here:
Stinks of agent talk. Was linked with him years ago. No need for him now. And he isn’t very good
