Arsenal fans on Twitter are loving humble Guendouzi

Arsenal were unfortunate to lose 3-2 to Chelsea on Saturday. The Gunners gave a really good account of themselves but ultimately came up short against The Blues at Stamford Bridge. That’s not to say there were no bright sparks, though, and even club legend Ian Wright pointed out young Matteo Guedouzi, with the Frenchman taking to Twitter afterwards to thank him.

The supporters loved this exchange from club legend to young prodigy and a lot of them will be hopeful that Guendouzi can stay put at The Emirates and make himself a club legend. Whilst he’s yet to score his first goal or register his first assist for The Gunners, the fans are all of the agreement that the Frenchman has the ability to go far in the game and the fact that he’s 19 and is doing what he’s doing is very impressive.

Nearly every Arsenal fan has gotten over the loss of Jack Wilshere by seeing Guendouzi and they’ll be hoping that the 19-year-old can prove Unai Emery right and go on to create a legacy at the club. The Frenchman will have the chance to play against the midfielder who he came in to replace when the Gunners host The Hammers next Saturday and the midfield battle between Guendouzi and Wilshere could be an interesting one.

The fans are loving their new midfielder and if he can keep playing with class and impressing the fans out on the pitch then there’s no telling how good he can be.
