Arsenal fans on Twitter back themselves for three points against City today

Arsenal will be opening their Premier League campaign later today by welcoming Manchester City to The Emirates. The game will be an interesting one and the whole world will be watching to see how Unai Emery sets up his Arsenal side. Yesterday, though, Arsenal took to Twitter to ask the fans what their favourite goal was from the fixture and the fans decided to get creative.

Instead of picking one of the four goals that the club included in their poll, a lot of fans have decided to ‘vote’ for their winner that they’ll be scoring later today against the Premier League champions. Emery will have a lot of his best stars available to him for the fixture and many will be expecting Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to be two of their danger men for The Gunners in a game that could well be a classic.

This season will be huge for both City and Arsenal and there’s little pressure on Arsenal for the most part this afternoon as they won’t be expected to win against Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions. If they can get a big win, though, it will be a great step to showing some of their top six rivals that they’re back and ready to challenge at the top of the Premier League again.

The fans are more than ready for a big performance later and will be keen to see a banger to give them all three points.
