Arsenal fans on Twitter call for Zech Medley to start on Wednesday
Yesterday was a very telling day for Arsenal. The fans were left more than a little bit frustrated when Laurent Koscielny failed to find his best form on his Premier League return as the Gunners’ fell to defeat at St Mary’s. The fans have now been looking ahead to their next game, and they want to see Zech Medley start against Spurs on Wednesday.
I think going forward, if we are in a situation where have only 1 fit centre back, we should promote Zech Medley. Very talented player. I am pretty sure he’ll play better than Licht/Xhaka at CB. Good chance for him to get minutes too. Would play him for NLD this week.

As Koscielny continues his return from injury he will be prone to making mistakes. The Gunners should know this, and so should Unai Emery. No matter how good of a player you are, after missing well over six months of action through injury there will be some rust to shake off when you get back in action, and the lack of match sharpness showed for the Arsenal captain yesterday.
All attentions have now turned to Tottenham in two days time, and the fans want to see young Zech Medley start. The 18-year-old centre-back is a quality young defender who’s not afraid to carry the ball out from the back with his calmness on the ball. The youngster has featured in the Europa League already this season, and it would be no surprise to see Unai Emery draft him in for the derby, especially given the current centre-back situation at the club.
You can read the Gunners’ thoughts on giving Medley a start here:
Agree, NLD best game to give him a go in. We’ll see him up against a top side and in a competition that’s nice to win but not seen as a lesser trophy against the FA cup and Premier League.

Yes, we were short of players today. It was a good learning for all. Helps us stay grounded. We start from ‘0’ again. This next run is going to be even better. We’re all with you on this mission @UnaiEmery_ @Arsenal ..We’re gonna do dis #COYG #Arsenal

The Gunners would love to see Medley given a chance on Wednesday evening and would love to see the 18-year-old prove himself.
