Arsenal fans on Twitter can’t wait to host Blackpool in the cup

Arsenal took their winning run to seven matches yesterday when they left it late to score twice and beat Watford 2-0 in the Premier League. After losing their first two matches Unai Emery has steadied the ship and responded with nothing but wins. Last night saw The Gunners drawn to face Blackpool in the Carabao Cup 4th round and the fans are confident that it will be yet another win.

The club tweeted a link to the Arsenal website where they will release the date for the tie and ticketing information as soon as it becomes available, and the fans will be optimistic ahead of the tie as it looks like one that has a big win written all over it. Complacency, though, could come to bite them if Emery doesn’t take the League One side seriously. Although, after beating Brentford in the 3rd round you’d think Emery will be taking the game seriously.

When Arsenal overcame Brentford they fielded a fairly strong side. A number of the Gunners senior players featured against the Championship side and it wasn’t a game that Emery was prepared to lose. The same will probably happen when The Emirates plays host to Blackpool and Emery will be keen to respect his opponents and field a strong enough side to get into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

The Gunners will be keen to get past Blackpool and into the quarter-final draw as they aim to go one better than last season’s runners-up finish in the competition.
