Arsenal fans on Twitter congratulate Fabregas for breaking assist record

Cesc Fabregas is a man who is deeply ingrained in Arsenal history. The Spanish midfielder was a massive part of the club after their move to The Emirates and will probably be regarded as one of the best players to turn out for the club during the Arsene Wenger era. However, he now plies his trade at Chelsea and has become the fastest player in history to reach 100 Premier League assists.

To reach 100 Premier League assists on its own is a superb achievement. However, to have completed the feat in less time than any other player in the competition’s history is truly phenomenal. According to the Premier League’s website, only four players have managed to reach the 100 assists milestone and Fabregas is in good company, alongside Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Frank Lampard, and at the age of 31, he’s not done yet.

The Spaniard has been at Chelsea for four full seasons now, having signed for the club in summer 2014. In that time he’s won two Premier League winners medals and whilst Arsenal fans are adamant that his best days in England came at The Emirates, it’s hard to agree when you see his trophy haul at Stamford Bridge. Stats and trophies aside, Fabregas will always split opinion at Arsenal. Some regard him as a legend whatever happens whilst some won’t forgive him for joining Chelsea, the fans below, though, still love him.

A lot of Arsenal fans will always have a place in their hearts for Fabregas and they’re delighted for his latest assists record.
