Arsenal fans on Twitter delighted to have Kolasinac and Monreal back for Liverpool

Next weekend sees Arsenal face Liverpool in what promises to be the biggest game of the weekend. The Gunners drew 2-2 against Crystal Palace yesterday whilst Liverpool demolished Cardiff City 4- on Saturday. Arsenal, though, will have both of their left-backs, Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal, available after they both missed yesterday’s Selhurst Park trip, according to James Benge.

In South London yesterday afternoon, Unai Emery was forced to make a drastic change to his lineup in the absence of a natural left-back. The Spaniard was obviously trying to make the best of a bad situation and opted to play the left-footed Granit Xhaka at left-back. The Swiss midfielder didn’t look too out of place at the back and whilst having him there wasn’t ideal, The Gunners still managed to pick up a point against The Eagles.
Xhaka will be delighted that his teammates are back from injury as it means he’ll be able to go back to playing in the Gunners double pivot alongside Lucas Torreira. Against Liverpool, he’ll need to be on top of his game and so will whoever gets picked to start on the left of The Gunners defensive line. The obvious choice is Monreal, who has already racked up ten appearances for the club this season and has the experience and guile to try and stop the likes of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.

Two left back getting injured at the same time. We should be preparing for life after them cos one will surely go and the other a second option by next season

The Gunners will be buzzing to go into the Liverpool game with a recognised left-back and will hope they can take something away from the huge clash at The Emirates.
