Arsenal host West Ham tomorrow and they’ll be keen to get their campaign up and running with three points after losing their two openers against Manchester City and Chelsea. Unai Emery has been dealt an awful start to his Premier League career but he’ll be keen to finally get a win under his belt and the fans think he should start Stephan Lichtsteiner to achieve that.

Over the last few years, the Gunners have become accustomed to seeing Hector Bellerin bombing down the right flank on the overlap, being our of position and being caught out defensively. Because of that, the supporters are keen to see someone come in who’s more defensively sound and isn’t as gung-ho going forward, That’s where Lichtsteiner comes in, Emery’s first signing at the club would make all the difference at the back.
The Swiss international has won over 100 caps for his country and has represented Juventus for seven years before swapping life in Turin for life in London. The supporters are desperate to see the veteran defender make his first start under Emery and they believe that even if he’s used for the first hour or so to set the foundations against the Hammers then he’ll be doing much better than what Bellerin would do as he often leaves his defence isolated.
You can read the Gunners’ verdict on who should start at right-back here:
