Since he signed for the club back in 2010, Laurent Koscielny has become a really important player at The Emirates. He’s the club captain and whilst he may be out with injury at the moment when he returns the Gunners are going to want to see him slot straight back in, which makes these reports from TEAMTalk about him leaving even more worrying.
As per an exclusive from Teamtalk, Laurent Koscielny’s agent is offering him to various European clubs. Barcelona are interested in signing the player on a short term deal in January, which Unai Emery would be willing to sanction. #afc pic.twitter.com/imbeJ3AE0h

Unai Emery obviously knew of Koscielny’s injury woes in the summer when he took the job and that will have been one of the reasons why he sanctioned the purchase of Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund. Alongside the Greek centre-back, Emery has used both Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding and it looks like the defence is pretty settled, even if the Arsenal fans are desperate to see their captain back in action.
In his time at the club, Koscielny has been superb given the circumstances. He’s helped the club to three FA Cups, three Community Shields and has racked up over 320 appearances for the North London club. The Frenchman will no doubt go down as one of the best defenders at the club in The Emirates era and whilst the fans don’t want to see him leave anytime soon, a move to Barcelona could be on the cards with Arsenal not prepared to stand in the way of his exit.

Should be allowed some games first. Could be a decent replacement for any of our center backs. Could still play a part in the new team.

Barca would want to see him return to first team action in Arsenal before making any offers.

The fans don’t want to lose Koscielny, but might just have to at this rate.
