Arsenal fans on Twitter desperate to see Ramsey extend his stay

Arsenal aren’t in action this weekend, instead, they have to wait until Monday night where they’ll be hosting Leicester City. Seeing as they’re not playing, the club took to Twitter to pay tribute to Aaron Ramsey as the midfielder’s first goal came ten years ago today.

Aaron Ramsey’s first ever goal for the club came against Fenerbahce in the Champions League. Away in Turkey, the Gunners came away 5-2 winners with Ramsey coming off the bench to score the club’s 5th goal of the game late into stoppage time. It was just the first of many for the Welshman though and his current tally for Arsenal now stands at 60 goals, although the fans want to see that increase and the club hand him a new contract.

The Welshman has the potential to be one of the best players at the club. The 27-year-old has the ability to turn games on their head on his own. His late runs into the box often cause mayhem and he’s always a handful for the opposition. When the ex-Cardiff man does eventually leave The Emirates the Arsenal fans will realise how much they miss him. His goals and assists are so good and add so much to the way his side play and it won;t be until he’s gone that they truly appreciate him.

Arsenal fans everywhere love Ramsey and will be gutted when he does eventually leave.
