Petr Cech suffered something of a rocky start to the season before he put in a superb display against Everton in the club’s 2-0 win, winning the man of the match award in the process. However, just a week later he was substituted just before halftime as he suffered an injury and was replace by Bernd Leno. Now, though, according to The Standard, Cech will be out for two or three weeks.

No football fan wants to see a professional footballer suffer an injury, especially not when it’s one of their own players who’s ruled out and that hasn’t changed for The Gunners, who are gutted that their experienced goalkeeper is going to be missing for the next few weeks. Fortunately, the international break is coming up and hopefully, Cech will be able to remain at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground to recover.
For now, it will be Leno who will be playing in the Champions League and the fans, whilst being gutted to see Cech fall to injury, will be delighted to see the German getting more game time over the coming weeks. The supporters would have been ex[ecting to see Leno on Thursday night in the Europa League, but instead, it could now be Emiliano Martinez for the Europa league and Leno in the Premier League as the club awaits Cech’s return.

I think that this might be it for him for him I’m afraid. Surely Martinez will get the nod Thursday

Damn, he was in his best form in years. Great traditional shot stopper. Looking forward to seeing what Leno has.
