Arsenal fans are all desperate for Unai Emery to add a decent winger with end product to their squad this summer. Players like that are hard to find, though, and one Arsenal fan account has questioned whether Florian Thauvin would be a good addition, especially in light of his cutting remarks after Marseille’s Friday night loss to Bordeaux.
Should we go for Thauvin? https://t.co/71HzB65tza

The World Cup winner was apart of the Marseille side that lost to Bordeaux, and after the game, he spectacularly slated his own side. The winger ended his rant about his club by saying ‘What’s the point? We’re rubbish’ after they fell eight points behind 3rd placed Lyon in the race for Champions League football, where in France only the top three sides make it into the competition.
Fans can read the comments from Thauvin on Goal.com, and they make for a highly entertaining read given the nature of them. If there’s one way to turn fans against you, it’s saying things like that, and it would not be at all surprising to see the Marseille winger leave the club in the summer. Wherever he goes, the Gunners hope it won’t be to them, as the last thing they want is a player with the attitude of the 26-year-old.
You can read the Gunners’ calls against a Thauvin swoop here:
Won’t fit emery’s system ! No work rate on wings!
But very good player

Decent player but coming out with stuff like that his attitude stinks.

No thank you. He has a poor attitude couldnt cut it at the Toon either

No bro. His game is too stereotypical and he has never been decisive in the big Ligue 1 games (Monaco, Lyon and PSG)
— Monkey D. A (@sosachamberlain) April 6, 2019
could be another Alexis

He'll be saying the same thing in couple years if he joins Arsenal

funny joke. Bang average player, couldn’t cut it at Newcastle. Nothing special about him.

With that attitude. Hell no
— Kavinsky (@Mashaddi_Mastor) April 6, 2019
He's not a big game player

The Gunners don’t seem at all keen on swooping for Thauvin seeing as he’s coming out with comments like Friday night’s, and it really is hard to blame them.
