Arsenal fans on Twitter have their say on Wilshere’s best Arsenal moment

Arsenal fans are going to be in for a treat tomorrow when they welcome West Ham and Jack Wilshere back to The Emirates for the first time since he left on a free over summer. Ahead of the game, Arsenal Fan TV asked the fans what their favourite Wilshere moment was in his time as a Gunner and the fans didn’t disappoint.

Some Arsenal fans have picked his stunning goal against Norwich in the Premier League back in the 2013/14 season. The England man linked up with Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla to walk through The Canaries back line before Wilshere slotted the ball past a helpless John Ruddy with his weaker right peg. The goal was voted the Premier League goal of the season and it is one that Wilshere will likely never top.

Some other fans, though, have been leaning towards his performance against Barcelona when he was just 19-years-old. The young midfielder tore apart Barcelona as The Gunners romped to a 2-1 lead at The Emirates. Ultimately, Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona were too much for Arsenal and they won 3-1 in the return leg but the performance from a young and relatively unknown Wilshere really put his name on the map at the time.

It will be strange for the Gunners cheering on their side against Wilshere tomorrow but they’ll be able to get over their love for the midfielder to back their side.
