Arsenal fans on Twitter hit with nostalgia on Walcott’s 100th-goal anniversary

On this day in 2017, Theo Walcott scored his 100th Arsenal goal in a 2-0 FA Cup fifth-round win over Sutton United.

Since then, the 29-year-old, of course, has gone on to join Everton after finding game time hard to come by at the Emirates.

That, however, has not stopped the north London club from celebrating Walcott’s 100th-goal anniversary, though in another universe it could have so easily been his 200th goal that was being remembered.

The Everton forward’s immense potential was there for everyone to see when he first burst onto the scene all those years ago but without a fixed position, on top of a couple of other factors, his development stagnated significantly.

Still, 100 goals is still a remarkable achievement, especially when the make up of that century includes strikes against the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.

You can have a look at what Arsenal supporters are saying on this special day for Walcott below…
