Arsenal fans were given the news earlier today that they’d be up against Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais in the next round of the Europa League. The Gunners avoided the likes of Sevilla, Chelsea, Napoli and Inter Milan to face the French side, and the two legs will give the fans a chance to watch the ever impressive Ismaili Sarr, who a lot of them want to sign.

Once reaching the last 16 in a competition like the Europa League, there are no easy games and the fans will all be well aware of that. The French side may not be hitting the heights in their domestic league, but the attacking talent that they have on display is frightening. Sarr is just one of a number of talented players and he could easily combine with Hatem Ben Afra and M’Baye Niang to silence the Gunners.
It will be the 20-year-old, though, who the Gunners will be focusing their attention on. In his 34 games in all competitions, the impressive young winger has contributed an impressive nine goals and nine assists and that sort of end product would be welcomed with open at The Emirates, especially considering they have little in the way of a productive winger at the club at the moment.

The Gunners love the idea of facing Rennais and seeing Sarr up close and will hope they can poach the youngster in the summer.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
