Arsenal fans on Twitter loved Lacazette’s West Ham performance
Arsenal hosted West Ham yesterday at The Emirates and came out 3-1 winners, putting their first points of the Unai Emery era on the board after a tough start against Manchester City and Chelsea. A lot of that is down to the performance of Alexandre Lacazette, who came off the bench for the second half on Saturday.

When Lacazette was introduced the score was at 1-1 after Marko Arnautovic and Nacho Monreal’s goals had cancelled each other out. With the game there to be won for either side, Emery’s Arsenal took the lead through an Issa Diop own goal before Danny Welbeck popped up and scored a 93rd-minute goal to confirm the win for The Gunners.
Alexandre Lacazette will be wondering what he has to do to get a start if he’s not given a chance to show what he can do next weekend away at Cardiff. A trip to Wales should provide the club with an opportunity to double up and get another three points on the board after Saturday’s fine display, and it will be made a lot easier for the club to do that if they have Lacazette from the off.

The reason he doesn’t start is because then we have no real fire-power on the bench… but I’ll give him an 8.5
