Yesterday saw Arsenal record their long-awaited first win of the season against West Ham at the third time of asking. Two defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea made this one a must win for The Gunners and when Danny Welbeck came off the bench with 15 minutes to go before smashing home Arsenal’s third to seal the win.

Having Welbeck back in action was always going to be something that would please the fans. The England striker made his first appearance of the season yesterday after previously missing out on a spot in the starting eleven and failing to get off the bench against both Manchester City and Chelsea. The squad will be pleased for Welbeck and the 27-year-old will hope he can maintain his goalscoring touch this season.
The ex-Manchester United striker scored ten goals in 43 games last season and one of his aims this season will be to put in more of a shift in front of goal. However, Welbeck is a versatile attacking option and he can be deployed on both wings, as a striker or a support striker and as an attacking midfielder. It could well be useful for Unai Emery to have the England man around as he can fill in a number of roles and he’ll be hoping he can become a key player under his new gaffer.

Our team's performance vs Chelsea last weekend made me to start believing again. I also believe Danny was underutilized which did not only affect us but his national team

Deserves to start. Considering that our defense isn't so good, he could improve that because of his work rate & back tracking.
