Arsenal fans on Twitter noticed something awful about the club’s Lacazette post

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their club’s birthday message for their French striker, Alexandre Lacazette. Arsenal posted a video of his goal against Bournemouth at The Emirates from earlier in the season, although after setting up Lacazette’s goal, Welbeck smashed the rebounding ball into row z after trying to hit it back into the net.

Danny Welbeck has received a lot of stick this season after failing to impress and falling behind both Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The forward line at Arsenal looks settled, with Unai Emery having little to do with the club’s attacking force. The only changes that the fans can see being made is the sale of Welbeck. The England striker, who’s secured an unlikely place on the plane to Russia this summer, has fallen out of favour and won’t have a major role in the side next season.

The ex-Manchester United striker has become a running joke for his poor performances in both Manchester and London, although now he could be moving on from Arsenal to a side more at his level. Welbeck’s appearances for Arsenal in Arsene Wenger’s final season came mostly in the Europa League towards the end of the season as Aubameyang was cup-tied in the tournament, opening a spot up for the misfiring England man.
