Arsenal fans on Twitter praying club don’t give Monreal a new deal

Arsenal fans are well aware of the task that Unai Emery has ahead of him. The current squad at The Emirates has got more deadwood than quality and as he continues to work his way through Arsene Wenger’s mess it’s becoming clear just how big the task is. One Wenger signing whose reached his use-by date is Nacho Monreal, who needs an exit.
#AFC have offered Nacho Monreal a new contract in the past few hours in an attempt to keep him for next season and avoid losing him for free. Barca and Marseille were keen on the player [via @AlfredoPedulla]https://t.co/bJObzVgJAv

The Gunners know that there are probably more players they need to get rid of than those that are good enough to stay. Not all of that is down to players being below par, with some on obscene contracts and others ageing, but the facts remain the same. One of those is Nacho Monreal and rumours from Alfredo Pedulla that the Spaniard has been offered a new deal have not gone down well with the fans.
Arsenal fans all know that investment into their backline is imperative if they want to stand any chance of finishing in the top four next season, and left-back is one of the biggest problem areas they have. Sead Kolasinac can fill in as their second choice on the left of their defence, but it’s hard to justify Monreal’s stay as Emery needs to be targetting a new man to fill the role of the Gunners’ starting left-back.

That’s all hope of a new left back down the drain

Let him go he’s finished, another problem area of our team.

Nacho is done as a LB…doesn’t have the legs anymore. We need to stop hanging on to players that are no longer up to the standard.

let him leave ffs

No idea why we would want to keep him.

The Gunners are all desperate to see Monreal binned as soon as possible and don’t believe that he’s the man for them going forward under Emery.
