Arsenal fans on Twitter rave over Mustafi performance

Last night saw a very entertaining Arsenal side take their current winning streak to ten games in a row when they dispatched Leicester City 3-1 at The Emirates. Despite a poor first half showing, Emery’s side won the game 3-1 through goals from Mesut Ozil and a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brace, although it was Shkodran Mustafi who the fans have been raving over.
10 wins in a row The team was on today, some unreal combinations again #golazos #coyg #SM20 @arsenal @RobHolding95 @alexiwobi pic.twitter.com/jgH8ALoX8T

Mustafi has been without his centre-back partner Sokratis Papastathopoulos for a few games now and has instead had to partner young Rob Holding. Usually, the fans are quick to jump on Mustafi’s back, they’ve been quick to praise him for his impressive performances especially considering he’s been playing alongside different players owing to injuries in the senior team.
If Mustafi can put together a string of games mirroring the performance he put in last night then it won’t be long before the fans have forgotten about his erratic tendencies at the back and are lauding him as one of their best defenders. The German showed a calmness to his game yesterday evening and at times him and Holding looked unpenetrable, barring a couple of lapses from Holding.

Great game. Great tackles and interceptions however lots of passing backwards from you Mustafi. Let's work on that.

The Gunners will be keen to see more from Mustafi in the coming weeks and will hope he can continue to shine.
