Sol Campbell is a man who will always divide opinion in North London. The former Tottenham captain was adored by all at White Hart Lane until he made the catastrophic error of moving directly to Arsenal. The Gunners, though, love the man and they have plenty of big memories of him in red and white.

Sol Campbell racked up 211 appearances for the Gunners and scored 12 goals in that time, including one in the Champions League final of 2005/06, a game in which Arsenal lost 2-1 to Barcelona. The legend of Sol Campbell will always be remembered and back in 2008 he was voted as number 15 in the list of the 50 greatest ever Arsenal players, as voted for by the fans. You can read Campbell's entry on the Arsenal website.

There are a number of things that Campbell will go down in history for, but none of them are any bigger than when he decided to take the short trip down the Seven Sisters Road from Tottenham to Arsenal. At Highbury he only enhanced his reputation as he was part of Arsene Wenger's invincibles in the 2003/04 season, playing in 50 games across the season as the Gunners steamrollered their way to the Premier League title.

Campbell will forever be a legend at Arsenal, for what he did on the pitch for them just as much as for the way he joined the club.
