Arsenal fans on Twitter want to see Auba named Premier League POTM

October has been a strange month for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The electric Gabonese forward has had a huge impact for The Gunners, scoring five goals in his three Premier League games last month despite the fact he only managed 135 minutes of an action. Now, though, the fans have been calling for the striker to win the Premier League POTM award after winning the Arsenal version.

Yesterday it was announced on the Arsenal website that Aubameyang had won the Player of the Month award for The Gunners and whilst the fans were all delighted for him, they’ve now been calling for the 29-year-old to be awarded the Premier League player of the month award. There’s no doubt that the ex-Dortman man at least deserves a nomination for it, but there have been some big performances from players this month.

The last time an Arsenal player won the Premier League’s POTM award was way back in March 2015 when Olivier Giroud swept up the award for his performances, but Auba could be set to break the club’s duck if he’s given the award in the next couple of days. The Arsenal man would be joining Tottenham’s Lucas Moura and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard in the 2018/19 season’s winners so far and there’s no doubting he fits the bill.

The Gunners are loving Auba’s current form and will hope he scoops the Premier league player of the month award to go with his Arsenal version.
