Arsenal fans on Twitter were in awe of Lacazette’s brilliant Cardiff display

Unai Emery secured his first three points on the road as Arsenal manager yesterday when his side travelled to Cardiff to face Neil Warnock’s relegation-battling side. It wasn’t easy for The Gunner, though, who had to break the deadlock three times to win the game. It was apt that Alexandre Lacazette got the winner too, seeing as he was the best player on the pitch on his first start.

Arsenal fans can finally start celebrating after getting their season under the way. The Emirates was a tough place to be after two games had been played. Arsenal were dealt a tough start and had to host Manchester City before travelling to Chelsea and in hindsight, those games could have been different had Alexandre Lacazette been given a starting berth like he was against Cardiff yesterday.

Next up for Lacazette and co is a trip to St James Park after the international break and after winning their last two before going into the break, they’ll be confident of coming out of their weekend off with another big three points against a tough Newcastle side. After that, it’s a home game against Everton and if Emery opts to start Lacazette for both of these fixtures then there’s no reason why he can’t continue with his goalscoring form.

The fans will be demanding to see Lacazette from the start more often after yesterday’s display and the player himself will be keen to add his goal tally in future games.
