Unai Emery will no doubt make decisions during his time at Arsenal that the fans will wholeheartedly disagree with, but as long as he continues to deliver on the pitch that’s all that matters. However, the supporters cannot wrap their heads around why the Spaniard started Alexander Lacazette in their Europa league dead-rubber tie last night.
LAURENT KOSCIELNY STARTS

The supporters fully understood the decision to throw he likes of Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny back into the squad as even though they’re both first-team regulars and two of the bigger names at the club, the pair are on their way back from injury and will need the game time to get back to full match fitness for the Premier League. However, Lacazette is sharp and fit, and there was no reason to risk the Frenchman in the Qarabag clash.
Unai Emery did hook the Frenchman just after the hour mark, but he only need to play an hour to get himself a goal. The ex-Lyon man bagged early on after just 16 minutes to give the Gunners a 1-0 lead, and whilst the supporters were delighted to see him add yet another goal to his tally this season, they’d rather have seen one of their youngsters get the important opener as the Frenchman rested up ahead of their trip to Southampton on Sunday.

Disagree with Lacazette starting……..not that is coming back from injury youth players can do the damage too
— Joseph David (@Josephdola) December 13, 2018
The Gunners were fuming to see Laca start and would much rather have not risked the Frenchman in the nothing game.
