Alexandre Lacazette is so often the difference for the Gunners. The electric Frenchman has pace to burn and goals aplenty in his locker. However, after just 45 minutes against Huddersfield yesterday, Unai Emery opted to bring him off and Henrikh Mkhitaryan was brought on in his place.
We’re back underway in north London – and @UnaiEmery_ has made his first changes…

In the end, the Spanish tactician can’t be faulted for his changes as his side won the game through a late piece of Lucas Torreira magic. However, a lot of supporters believe that it could have been won a lot earlier had Lacazette been kept on the pitch. The 27-year-old has eight goals to his name this season and he could have added to that if he was given a second 45 minutes to work with yesterday afternoon.
Instead, Emery opted to leave Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the pitch as his central striker and whilst the Gabonese frontman failed to have his best game in an Arsenal shirt, he managed to dig out the ball that Torreira acrobatically dispatched past Jonas Lossl in the Huddersfield net. The result is all that matters at the end of the day, though, and whilst the fan would have kept Laca on for the full 90, they’re just pleased to have got the win.

Laca comes off early. Arsene is that you ?

The fans are unwavering in their support for Emery, but still can’t get over why he opted to bring off Lacazette.
