Arsenal fans on Twitter would love to see Under added to their squad

How badly could Unai Emery use a winger right about now? The only wide players that the Gunners have are Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi and now, with Roma’s Champions League exit on Wednesday evening, The Metro have claimed that the Serie A side’s Turkish winger, Cengiz Under, could be on his way to the Gunners.

Arsenal fans would do anything for a decent wide-man and Under is just that. Last season saw the 21-year-old become a Champions League semi-finalist with the Rome club yet with his failings this season in Europe as they bowed out 4-3 on aggregate to Porto in the round-of-16, it looks like the winger could finally be on his way out of Italy as rumours have swirled surrounding him.

In the Turkish winger’s season so far he’s bagged himself six goals and nine assists in 25 outings, and whilst he’s currently out injured, missing both legs of their Champions League tie against Porto, it looks like the youngster will have one eye on a summer move. First-team football and playing in the Champions League will be high up on Under’s wishlist, and if Unai Emery can grab his side a place at Europe’s top footballing table for next season then it’ll be hard for Under to turn them down.

The Gunners would love to add Under to their side and who can blame them given his directness and end product from out wide.
