Arsenal fans have been given something of a scare as yet another midfielder’s future has been thrown up in the air. With Aaron Ramsey on his way out and Mesut Ozil’s future always the topic of conversation, Granit Xhaka has made headlines as he claimed ‘Arsenal does not have to be the last stop’ when talking to Tagblatt, via Football.London.

No one is doubting that Granit Xhaka on his day can be a top player. However, that day is extremely rare and when it comes around you usually have to endure a few weeks of error-ridden performances after it anyway. So as he’s come out and dropped a transfer bombshell about a potential exit, the Gunners are all debating with themselves whether or not he is worth having around at the club.
For a lot of those Arsenal fans, the verdict is that no they would be just fine without the Swiss midfielder. He may have scored some pretty big goals in his time at The Emirates, the most recent of which came against Manchester United, but in truth, he would be easily replaceable and despite improvements this season, the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach man is yet to live up to the £35 million fee he signed for.

He is a good player who makes way too many mistakes in front of the defence. I dont believe a bigger club would be interested in him. Imo he has reached his ceiling.

Who the hell wants a slow rock that loses the ball on his own box?

The Gunners don’t seem at all bothered by the prospect of losing Xhaka and would happily let the Swiss midfielder go should the right bid come in.
