Arsenal: Fans rave over Mikel Arteta amid links with manager’s job
Arsenal fans have been raving over Mikel Arteta after the Spaniard was once again linked with the manager’s job at the Emirates Stadium.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners have identified Arteta and Massimiliano Allegri as potential candidates to replace Unai Emery if he is sacked by the club.
One fan seemed to be begging the club to appoint the 37-year-old, who was labelled ‘smart’ by Pep Guardiola for his impact at Manchester City.

Guardiola’s number two was a candidate to replace Arsene Wenger when he left the club back in 2018, however, was ditched at the 11th hour for Unai Emery due to the Basque-born manager’s experience (via BBC).
That goes against what Arteta said regarding the north London club’s pursuit of himself, as he claimed he turned down the manager’s job at the Emirates Stadium back in the summer of 2018 (SER Catalunya via Metro).
Fans seem to be approving a move for the inexperienced coach, who is yet to manage a club during his short career in the dugout, as they took to Twitter to react.
