Serge Gnabry produced a stunning display to score four times against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Is Unai Emery the right man for Arsenal?
The Bayern Munich winger was on fire in the match as he helped the Bundesliga side romp home to a 7-2 win in North London.
Gnabry’s involvement in the demolition will have hurt Spurs fans, as the German international is of course a former Arsenal player.
The 24-year-old was at the Emirates between 2011 and 2016, but failed to make the grade and managed just 18 first team appearances before ultimately leaving for Werder Bremen.
One of Gnabry’s teammates at Arsenal was Hector Bellerin, who is the same age and played in the youth team alongside the German.
The Spaniard couldn’t help having a dig at Spurs after the game by sending a tweet to his former colleague which simply read: “@SergeGnabry joke man .”
Naturally, the Arsenal fans absolutely loved Bellerin’s attempt to rile the Spurs supporters. Plenty of them were also left ruing the fact that the Gunners allowed Gnabry to leave the club before he could reach his potential.
Here is what a few of the Arsenal faithful said in response to Bellerin’s tweet to Gnabry…
HÉCTOR MY CAPTAIN
