Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern will have more cash to spend at the bar, after positive news came out of the club regarding ticket prices for next season.
The Telegraph details how Arsenal fans will be the highest savers in the Premier League following the club’s decision to subsidise away tickets further and the announcement of a £30 price cap on tickets.
Arsenal, infamous for the price of their tickets and the boasting the most expensive season ticket in the top-flight, were amongst the twenty clubs who unanimously agreed to a £30 price cap on away tickets– with fans finally seeing the benefits of the money handed to clubs from the lucrative £8.3 billion television deal.
Arsenal have further subsidised away tickets by £4, meaning travelling Gooners will enjoy football across the country for just £26 next season- saving them an astonishing £367 for the next campaign, enough for a small holiday.
However, with this development costing Premier League clubs just £2m over the course of a season, our landlord still feels there’s more that could be done- but he’s happy with the progress clubs have made.
Arsenal fans, are you happy to pay £26 for an away ticket? Let us know in the comments!
